2000 GT Veloce color codes (no Cagiva content)

Wolf Schuffner asks "Is there a list of the different body colors and their
codes that were offered with the Coupe 2000GT Veloce type 10521? (1972-1976)"

D'Amico & Tabucchi, who had access to factory records and tried to be
accurate, listed sixteen colors (by name in both Italian and English, but not
by number) for the 10521. In some cases different names were used in different
countries, which can confuse things. In some cases the same names were used in
other years, or in the same year on different models, for different colors,
which can also confuse. For some, but not all, of their listed colors the
names and numbers appear on the USA color chip chart for the 1972 2000 GT
Veloce. For some others numbers can be found in the somewhat earlier Alfa Body
Shop Manual, and some can also be found on paint manufacturer's lists.

The USA 2000 GTV colors are: (followed by the names given by d'Amico &
Tabucchi, when I am fairly sure of them from other sources such as the Alfa
body shop manual))

Chalk              AR 013 (Biancospino, Hawthorn White)

Desert Beige       AR 821 (Beige Cava, Beige)

Raspberry          AR 525

Moss Green         AR 227

Plum               AR 509 (Prugna, Plum)

Alfa Red           AR 501 (Rosso Alfa, Alfa Red)

Navy Blue          AR 343 (Bleu Olondese, Dutch blue)

Silver Metallic    AR 727 (Grigio Chiaro Metallizzato, Metallic Light Grey

Champagne Metallic AR 827

Other color names which d'Amico & Tabucchi give for the 10521 are:

Verde Oliva Metallizzato, metallic olive green, probably AR 213

Grigio indaco, indigo grey, probably AR 735

Verde Pino, pine green, probably AR 216

Nero, black, probably AR 901

Grigio medio metallizzatto, metallic mid-grey, probably AR 728

Beige Chiaro Metallizzato, metallic Light beige

Azzuro Le Mans, Le Mans Blue, probably AR 748

Faggio, beech, probably AR 516

Giallo Piper, piper yellow, probably AR 116

Bleu pervinca metallizzato, metallic periwinkle blue

Any such list will contain some ambiguities and some discrepancies from other
lists. They are all somebody's best try, and shouldn't be taken as more than
that.
