RE: Mysterious shimmy at 60mph... further suspects?

If you happen to find out anything about this I would be interested...I
also have an '88 Spider and it does the same thing...I too have new
tires and have had the front shocks and springs replaced...the shimmy is
still there.

Subject: Mysterious shimmy at 60mph... further suspects?

Hi,
I've had a slight shimmy in my 88 spider since I bought it.
Actually it was quite bad until I replaced the tires and had the wheel
bearings adjusted (and replaced the rears). That made it mostly go
away,
but it is still there.

So I've got new tires, they've been balanced and rechecked for
balance. The wheel bearings are in good shape and properly set on all 4
corners. What else should I be checking? (hopefully in order of
likelihood).

The shimmy happens between about 55-60mph, and its more of a
lateral rhythmic sway with a period of about 1/3 to 1/2 of a second. I
think I feel it slightly more in the front than the rear, but its very
hard to say.

Thanks for suggestions.
