164 Clutch Pedal trubbles

Hi!
My clutch pedal (on 164Q) was getting a large dead area where
after releasing it it wouldn't come all the way back up, unless
popped back with my foot. the clutch still operated OK, but
the pedal would need to be pushed all the way down in order
to disengage the clutch enough to shift, especially into 1rst
or reverse. Bleeding the system didn't help, & the pedal wouldn't
return by itself at all during that procedure.
Replacint the Master cylinder (called the Pump in the manuals)
just over the driver's left knee fixed it quite satisfactorily.

Co-incidently during this repair, the other car (194L) clutch
pedal stuck to the floor a couple of times, but this problem was
way more obvious, unlike the other car, here the level had gone
down in the reservoir, & the slave cylinder (on the clutch housing)
had lost fluid. replacing that cylinder fixed that one.
