Personal opinion:

Yoko AVSi's were great tires 5 years ago.  For the same price they went 
for back then, you could get tires that are more comfortable, offer more 
grip, and better wet weather traction today.  By today's standards, 
they're rather harsh and noisy ... I repeat, by today's standards.

Not knocking the AVSi's, but compared to today's tires they're a closeout 
bargain, and yesterday's news.
