re: engine ID help needed



Ed Lutz asks for help identifying a motor with a serial number of
#AR00514*50398.

#AR00514*50398 falls in the range 00514.34652 - 00514.55888 which Fusi gives
for the 1964 Giulia T.I. The only '514' engines he shows other than T.I.s are
the "4R" Zagatos, which like the T.I. had a single two-barrel downdraft carb,
(presumably to fit under the narrower hood) and the CKD version of the '66
Giulia GT (presumably South African) which raises the curious possibility that
there may have been 190 GTs with the 'cooking' carburetion. Hmmm- (Or it could
be a Fusi typo).
