Shims under the T/A flange, enough so that you need to back the screw off to
set your gap. My memory is fuzzy this early in the morning but I believe the
early cars used a 27mm actuator and the later ones a 29mm and the only ones
available are the 29mm - or something vaguely of that nature.
Anyway, try making up some shims - even gasket material will do.
