Maserati insurance (no direct Alfa content)

My Maserati was a problem to insure at a reasonable price. On one side the 
thing where they don't know who makes it still exists. On the other side are 
those that want a lot of money. Inbetween there is the fact that mine is a 
grey market car with a model name that just doesn't come up in the insurance 
computer.
I found finally a local agent of State Farm that took the extra step to 
research the matter and to be reasonable in price. It qualified for 
collectible vehicle insurance but I have no garage i could show as permament 
location for the car.
I even called an insurer who I knew since I researched buying a Lotus Esprit, 
who had given an excellent deal at time to the current Lotus owner, and the 
insurance agent seem to think of the Lotus as more of a common, day-by-day 
car than the Maserati..
