Re: Fiat truly in trouble! What will happen to Alfa?

There was a similar article on Automotice News Europe the other day at
http://europe.autonews.com/news.cms?newsId=3031 of how bad things are at
Fiat. In the story of interest to Alfisti:

"If Fiat closes its Arese and Termini Imerese plants, another 2,650 jobs
will go. Fiat has been scaling down operations at Arese, located near
Milan, since the early 1990s. In July 2000, production of the Alfa
Spider and GTV coupe was moved to Industrie Pininfarina. The plant now
employs just 750 people."

There was also something else about the scaling down of the Rivalta and
Mirafiori plants. I seem to remember that Rivalta built the 166 and
Mirafiori built the 156.

Ciao,
