164 struts, motor mount
hi,
i'm going to replace the rear struts in my 92 164. i used to buy a lot
of parts from erimanas, but they are no more. anyone know who has the best
deal on rear struts? also, is any other stuff needed when doing them? i know
they dont have those flimsy bearings like the fronts, but are there any
flimsy parts in the rear i'll need while i have the struts out?
also, if you get tired of replacing that expensive, crappy front pass
motor mount, do what i did. get an old milano motor mount bracket and bolt
it to the studs on the 164 block that are still there from milano usage.
weld a bracket to the lower radiator support and connect the bracket to the
milano mount with a short steel cable. acts as a limiter, keeps the mount
from an early exit.
thanks
have fun,
mike hooker
