Engine manafgement in NEW cars

There is nothing a back yard mechanic can do any more without 
sophisticated computer software only dealers can have.   Al Fiat 
products are like the BMW engine management.   The factory will 
remotely upgrade or alter ECUs remotely as needed for each vehicle 
through dealerships only.
