RE: installing non-Alfa engines in old Alfa Spider pre-1962

Well put.

If you really think a Pinto engine is better than an Alfa, then please buy a
Pinto and leave the Alfa unfettered for an enthusiast to care for.

By and large, and this goes for most makes and models, engine swaps are not
the way to go. Even Alfa-Alfa engine swaps are hard work (ask me how I
know). It is far easier and cheaper to just buy a car that already meets
your criteria than butcher one to do so.

Just why would you want to even consider this?
Putting a-r motors in non-alfas maybe
 but the other way around???
