I had this same problem on my GTV6 just yesterday. In addition to
flashing rapidly, the left front bulb was flashing dimly. In my case it
was corrosion in the connector plug for the left front parking
light/turn signal. I surmise that the corrosion was causing added
resistance thus making the flasher work harder. My quick fix was just to
plug and unplug it a few times till I wore a new path through the corrosion.

GTV6 back from the paint shop (pretty) and now being reassembled.
