Antenna help?

Gang -

The antenna seems to have come unbuckled somewhere between the back
fender and the radio. This is also - surprise, surprise - yet another
system of which no description of any sort is to be found in that
*&^()*)(*& so-called shop manual, even though it's clearly an original
part of the car. So...short of ripping out the trunk lining with brute
force and hoping for the best, how do I get in there, at least to see if
the wire has come adrift at that end? It's not that I miss the radio so
very much; I do love the sound of that lovely V6, all the way from
burble to wail, but I DON'T love the sound of my beloved's asking me at
least once on the way to work and again on the way home, "Do you think
you can get around to fixing the radio today?"
