Dick,

I have used 55 ft./lbs. torque beginning with my Giulietta for 42 years.  Of 
course, you should re-torque after a few miles of driving.  I have recently 
gone to 65 ft./lbs. on mag-wheels.  Yes, the taper must match the wheel and 
original nuts.
