warm-up procedure

hi all,

in the owners' manual of the '71 wolwo 145 i used to own, it said to drive the car gently to warm it up, *not* to yust let it sit idling.  no f.i. either - a pair of stromberg carbs...

fwiw,

doug s., always warms up *all* wehicles by driving gently...
