The good news-I leaned where the wire goes, practiced using the test light
and wiring diagram.  The bad news-the wires are all fine, it's the switch
that's bad.  Now I've proved it. Bulletproof-hah!  Ah, well-the clutch will
go bad some day and I'll change the switch.
Thanks to all who wrote with advice on the subject.
