Paul Glynn has ice raced a GTV6 Balocco for the last few years now.
Came in second overall in season points last year in the group he runs
with, first in class (I think).

Mentioned that the car is real fast, but that the racing line is
completely different, such that there are times where he and the FWD
cars cross paths in an extreme way going into or coming out of corners.
Makes for a good show.

Late last year he punted a snow bank and rolled over 3-4 times. Had a
good cage, cracked a rib. Now he's looking for another GTV6 beater to
take on the ice.

I learned an important safety lesson from his roll. I had always
assumed that bucket seats were useful for helping the driver remain
stable and therefore control the car a little better, but after Pauls
roll he heard from an old timer who won't get into a race car of any
kind without real bucket seats.

Pauls racing harness was good protection, but didn't keep him from
whacking his ribs against his roll bar, a bucket seat (used together
with the racing harness) most likely would have.
