Re: Fuel Filters Part 2

Might not make any difference, but the tank outlet is on the right, and the
tank filter is oriented generally left to right with the fuel flow going to
the right. In a left-hand turn any unsecured solid is going to try to go
right, so maybe the gunk in your filter is still "unsecured"...

Subject: Fuel Filters Part 2

The general consensus is that my fuel filter at the tank is probably
plugged or at least pretty close to being plugged. Thanks for all the
responses.

Here's another observation from the drive home. The fuel pressure light
and subsequent loss of power seems to happen while turning left or going
around a left hand curve, and only in second gear as far as I could
tell. If I let up on the gas and let the light go out, I can then rev up
through all the gears to the red line. Does this make any sense? I would
think if it was going to run out of fuel it would do it going up a hill
in 4th gear at full throttle not at mid throttle in 2nd. I'm going to
replace the tank filter and see if it goes away, but it still seems
strange.
