GM SAAB

i don't know much, hopefully a ALFA & SAAB owner will reply, but
i briefly experienced riding & driving a friend's new SAAB, summer 2001,
& it was a good solid comfortable reasonably decent handling car,
which could indeed be mistaken for a higher end GM product if it
didn't say SAAB on it.  it was too smooth & quiet, too insulated
from the road for me, & i like the 164!
THe SAABs are more reliable now than pre-GM, especially lacking the
computer shutting down the car for no reason problem of older SAABs,
from the friend's experience with a 9000 & the new one.
If 164s ever become impossible to keep running due to lack of parts
& people with the tools & knowledge to do major jobs, SAABs may be
one of the few reasonable alternatives.
