Glue removal

I tried to glue the "S" back on my 164, and it held for a while, but now
it's back off and left a nice shadow.  While it would help to know the kind
of glue I used, I'm afraid I can't help except to say it was clear.

Know of anything I can use to take off the dried glue without hurting the
paint?
