V6 injector lines

Folks-

My questions concern a 1988 Milano Verde (3.0 L).

For those of you who have replaced the fuel lines from the rail to the 
injectors:

1. What size hose did you use and where did you get it?

2. Did you clamp it or not (per OEM)?

3. One current line has a leak, others have small cracks in rubber 
suggesting they need replacement too (presumably original ca. 1988, 100k 
miles).

4. Any tricks to avoid leakage upon replacement? I realize the fuel 
pressure is fairly low, but the penalty for messing this up is potentially 
high.
