Simon, another source could be your castor rod arms, either the ball joint on 
the front end or the bushing on the upper support.  Or you could have ball 
joints going out.
Lift a front wheel just off the ground with a jack and with a lever and 
fulcrum lift the wheel up and down while observing the upper and lower ball 
joints for play.
