I'm so glad I so rarely make mistakes so that when I do...(siiiigh,
happy face).

At least Bill Sinclair sort of answered my question regarding too big of
male radio antenna plug to go into too small female radio antenna
socket. Not that what he said is what I wanted to hear.

Went to Radio Shack. I'm the only one in there except a fellow sitting
on a low stool behind the counter. I put the radio and antenna lead down
on the counter and told him what I wanted. He started to talk, but being
old (it's okay to interrupt and be rude when you're old - isn't it?) I
told him he might have to stand up and look at what I had brought in.
The little schmuck continued sitting there and explained that Radio
Shack quit carrying any automotive radio items three months ago since it
wasn't profitable. Schmucks!

Probably wouldn't have had what I wanted anyway like that meshugana (his
word) Sinclair suggested. Personally I would have used goy or should it
be goyem?

Assuming this is the case - still looking for a 'proper' vintage radio
with knob holes 5 1/8" apart and would look cool in the '60 Spider.

(Let's see if Netscape had someone on their spell checker staff of the
Yiddish persuasion).

(Nope!).

Having insulted Boy Scouts and European Jews, I'll go back and do some
work in the shop.
