Cry for Help, 105 2 litre rear wheel bearings?

I'm not at home. All my Alfa books are at home. I want to work on my Alfa
tonight. It's not at home either.

I have the half-shafts with the new bearings installed. I have a pair of oil
seals. I can't remember where the oil seals go.

After I've removed the half-shafts, there were a couple of rubber oil seals
sitting inside the axle tubes. The new oil seals I have are metal rings with
small rubber rings tensioned by springs. Do these replace the existing
rubber seals? Which way do the new seals face? The metal is cupped so do the
new seals go in with the shoulder facing the diff or the other way around
(if that makes sense).

Thanks in advance for any speedy advice.
