Pat Braden... and others
I felt saddened and reflective to hear of Mr Braden's death. Both his Giulia book and the Owner's Bible are on my bookshelf, and are "regulars" with me. I recall a couple of times when some of his comments regarding Things Alfa put my teeth a-grinding, but his motives were always noble and truly, truly dedicated to the marque. Occasionally, Alfisti didn't want to confront the realities of what Pat Braden had to say, but all he ever wanted was to preserve the cars, preserve the expertise, and see that they continued to be
cared for and DRIVEN. Godspeed, Pat Braden.
Our sincere condolences go out to his family and friends.
The ones we Alfisti ought to be grateful for today, those who are still with us and online, are the bedrock of Alfa Romeo knowledge in the US and abroad. Names come to mind, we recognize those names as regulars on the AD and other sites. I say we should make it a point right now, to thank them for their enthusiasm and dedication while we can. We know who they are, don't we?
Thank you for what you have all given us.
