1) The 6mm bolts that Alfas steering wheels come with puller holes
drilled and tapped for are too small. The bolts taffy-pull and bend if
the wheel is on too tight (which it usually is). Best to drill/tap 'em
out to 8mm.
2) Screw the puller bolt through enough for 4-5 threads to show, then
put a nut and washer on the underside of the wheel hub. This protects
the threads from stripping as well as giving you more purchase for the
wheel puller to pull against.

They DO NOT ALWAYS STRIP when used properly! The trick is to tighten
the bolt only until there is s good strain on the two screws, then,
strike the bolt with a two pound hammer, solidly ONCE. maybe twice.
