Spider Dash

<PRE>What year did Alfa switch from the mammalian twin nacelle instrument cluster 
to the plastic dash on the Spider? Has anyone ever put one of  the older 
instruments on a newer Spider? Can the wiring and connections be made to 
work? Can the air conditioning be made to work with the older instrument 
cluster in the middle of the dash? Is it crass and dis honest to do so? I 
have a decent 87 Spider but have always craved the old metal instruments. 
Thought I might try to make a swap.
