Re: Spark experiment under high compression



Well, it's not really pressure that does it. Air (nitrogen and oxygen
plus a few miscellaneous gasses) is a dielectric. The more pressure
it's under, the more dense the dielectric, and the harder it is for a
spark to jump through it.
