Lower riming chain alert
Because someone asked about the lower chain I decided to offer you MY
method of checking it for wear.
Take off the cam cover so you can see the cams clearly.
If you have the right size wrench and cam easily turn the crank shaft,
if not, pit it in 5th gear with plugs out and move yje car back and
forth Keep a close watch on the intake cam sprocket as you turn the
crank in both directions not more than an eight of a turn. The
cam sporocket must move instantly as the crank moves.
If it does not and rge crank moves more than an inch, the chain is
worn. Time to replace it.
Also, the tensioner should be normally tight. Have sun. Fred Di Matteo
