Becker will repair most of their old radios for a flat fee of around $100. So 
see your local Mercedes junk specialist, get a used Becker and if it does not 
work, send it off for repair. The parts shop at your Merc. dealer should give 
you the Becker address. If not post something to the MB owners club web site. 
I did this with the Becker from my old 300d and they had the repaired radio 
back to me in 10 days.
