RE: Coolant In Spark Plug Wells



Could be, or maybe not.  I once had an 86 Spider Veloce that had
re-occurring coolant in the sparkplug wells just as you describe.  I'd
clean it up, tighten the coolant hoses, check everything over, and then
go drive it.  Come back to the garage and lift the hood, and there it
was again.  I could see no way for it to get to the center of the
cylinder head from any of the hoses.  Then I got smart and held the
throttle open while looking at the area in question.........and just
like the Beverly Hillbillies......up from the ground came a bubblin
pool.  The culprit was casting porosity and the coolant was just
bleeding right though it.  Only solution was to get a new head.
