i did something similar already with the front sway bar; i had english
sized pieces so i took a rasp and filed down the mounts on the lower
control arms until the joints fit. it took a while.

i was thinking, though, about the inner joints of the upper and lower
control arms. spherical bearings should be available which could be pressed
into the arms in place of plastic lower bushings and rubber upper
bushings. i'm wondering if anyone has done that, and what their experience
was with it.

it would be totally unsuitable for a street car, but the alfetta sedan i'm
talking about will never see the street again.
