Re: Engine Size

Hi Brian:

There is a symbol cast into the front of the cylinder head that indicates displacement. The 1300 has a vertical line, the 1600 a cross, the 1750 a triangle, and the 2000 has a square. At least I think that's right, it's from memory. Also, I thought that all the Spider Juniors had the Duetto-type dash, and no center console. There are other differences I've seen, too, like a 2-spoke steering wheel, rubber mats v. carpets, etc., but those details may vary by year. Finally, there weren't any US-version Juniors. Are you in Canada? Europe?

Subject: Engine Size

I just received an email from Elvira at Fiat Italy about my car. She says
my car was a 1300 Junior 1982 Spider. I always assumed that my car was a 2
litre, but that was it seems just an assumption. How can you tell the
displacement of your engine?
