Wind Blocker review

With many thanks to digest member Simon Body, I recently purchased and
installed a windblocker from Spider point in Germany,
(http://www.spider-point.com/). The Blocker cost approximately $200 with
shipping. It appears similar to the one I saw pictured for sale in the IAP
catalog. The folks at spiderpoint were great to deal with and I would
definitely recommend them.

The top can go both up and down with the wind blocker in place

The wind blocker can go up or down with the top in either position, (although
it does rub against the plastic window when being pushed down if the top is
up).

The tonneau cover can be used with the blocker in place, (but it is a TIGHT
fit). The blocker will NOT go down with the tonneau installed.

It installs cleanly and easily with four bolts. No drilling required. It
took about 15 minutes to install.

It makes a HUGE difference in ride quality. With windows up and blocker up it
feels like there is a top in place. There is almost NO wind buffeting. It
makes a huge difference with windows down as well. My girlfriend is glad not
to have to wear a baseball cap for every ride, (although I'm kinda bummed
'cause I really like the look;-)) I'm sure that it will extend my top-down
season in New England. I would definitely recommend this item.

One downside....on my '88 it can be pushed against the seatbelt guides at the
top of the seats and punctured, (as I regretfully discovered). See pic
below.

as usual....impartial observations, no ties to the manufacturer,
blah...blah...blah. Feel free to email if you have any questions.

hope the link works!!!

Good Motoring!!
