radio blanking plate ID?

I have an apparent radio blanking plate I wonder if anyone can identify.  It
is a flat aluminum rectangle, with rolled edges, about 6 3/4" by 2", with
two small threaded studs glued on the back about 5" apart, with large-area
washers to spread the glued area.  It is black crinkle finish on the front
only, which looks like a factory job, not home-done. No other
identification. I got it with some Alfa parts, but the seller had other
kinds of cars, so maybe it's not from an Alfa. I've never seen one like it.
