Re: Noisy fuel pump

I had a similar problem on my 91 164. Thought it was the fuel pump but it
was a leak in a small length of tubing that connects the fuel pump with the
exit fitting on top of the fuel tank. THis little 1.5 inch fuel tubing is
notorious on 164s. Don't know if the spider has the same setup.

It's a whirring noise only noticable at idle. This weekend I heard the
noise and in addition to the whirring it has developed a buzz/whistle.
