74 spider won't run when hot

Hi!
     the first place to look for the problem you
     discribe is the fuel pumps. what does the
     electric fuel pump sound like? if you open
     the gasoline filler cap can you hear the extra
     fuel being returned to the tank?  that pump or
     its filter can cause the engine to run really
     badly or not at all if it's not supplying enough
     fuel, or enough fuel pressure to the Spica pump.

     the Spica pump i've found can cause similar problems
     if, particularly in hot weather, i use fuel of low
     quality or fuel which contains ethanol, or it's
     worn out, which allows some fuel to get into the oil
     sump.
