Re: Glorious Northern California

For those of you moaning about NorCal, you guys need some perspective.
It was hard to tell, but Greg might've been coming from helL.A.

Our postage stamp sized properties? Candidates for subdivision down
there (ever seen a house with a 6 inch setback?).
Crawling through traffic? Better than watching the traffic light go
through half a dozen red-green cycles while your front wheels are on the
crosswalk lines unable to enter the intersection.
I'd much rather have my smog tests done on solid ground
up here than on a dyno down there. Norman's Alfa Parts in Berkeley
has way better service than AR Ricambi down there. For driving,
try Thunderhill, Sears Point or Laguna Seca. It could also be argued
that getting to Willow Springs is just as long from the Bay Area as
it is from LA. Perhaps it's just me, but I think I see more Alfas up
here than down there, too.

Housing prices? Well, I suppose you sort of get what you pay for.
Try sending your kids to a Compton school. If you own, it helps to
consider the house a retirement vehicle.
