RE: Milano ABS
I just replaced my Verde pump with a manual/booster setup from a donor 2.5
Gold/Silver car. APE sells these for about $200 and takes about a day to
replace. This is the cheaper way to go as rebuilding the ABS pump is a very
costly proposition.

My advice is run don't walk away. First off the car sounds like a
Platinum and not a Gold (check the color of the 4 leaf color on the
trunk trim, it should be platinum in color). Secondly it sounds like
the ABS pump is dead. Do both the brake and ABS warning lights stay on
in the Alfa Control Panel (that funny looking panel in the top center
of the dash with all of the warning lights) when you start the car ?
Turn on the ignition and pump the brake pedal 5 tmes, you should hear
the pump come on. If not, likely dead. This is a common ailment of the
ATE ABS system used in these cars and very expensive to replace.
