Ferrari's on 12th

As Damian said, this Sunday was the annual gathering of Italian Cars on
12th, right in front of Ferrari of Seattle. Great turnout! Lot of digesti
there, and perhaps 30 Alfas, great showing. Very few 750/101 cars though,
including the late arrival of Bruce Ryan's dark blue SS. The new Maserati
Spiders were making a good showing. Oddly enough, I don't think a single
Lamborghini made it there. LOTSA Ferraris, mostly newer, but some
incredible early-mid '60s cars.
Was a real treat to be able to drive the GTA there. A street car she is
not! As a gutted racer, it's incredibly noisy, even with a quiet muffler.
She's darty, high strung, very rough even with soft springs.. but when the
engine comes on strong.. all is forgiven.
As we were leaving FOS, there was a nice crowd there, so after i made sure
nobody was ahead of me, I smiled at the traffic cop, and got on it a bit in
1st gear, but after selecting 2nd gear just laid on it, and the cold tires
slipped nicely as she got just a tad sideways under acceleration. Life is
good.
She belongs on the track, no doubt. Hope as many of you as possible can
come to the 4th of July races at Pacific Raceways this year, to be held July
5-7.
