Re: pax seat lean

Hi Dennis:

I've got a '74 Spider and when I removed the seats last year, there was an aluminum spacer under each bolt on the passenger seat outboard track. Just as you described, this would cause the seat to lean slightly towards the centerline of the car. I've got no guess as to the purpose of those spacers (maybe 10mm thick), but I didn't reinstall them with the new seats, and so far I haven't lost any passengers.

Subject: pax seat lean

I have an '86 Spider with a passenger seat that leans to the left ever so
slightly. I thought there might be something bent, but I started to notice
that other Spiders around town have the same pax seat lean. Is this normal,
or are there alot of Spiders in Anchorage with problems???
No rust is visible and the flooring and frame appear straight.

...and no my girlfriend isn't Gravitationally Challenged :)
