interior mirror glass

Anybody ever get just the glass replaced in a vintage mirror? Come to think
of it, the interior rearview mirror would benefit from new glass as well. I
would be interested in anyone's feedback. Thanks.

Often, the mirror glass in Alfas' interior mirrors is just dirty.  I have 
saved several that had been given up for dead, because they looked like 
they'd lost their silvering or were otherwise kaput.

As for broken outside mirrors, someone recently has written, perhaps in 
this digest, that it was easy to get glass replaced in vintage 
mirrors.  Wasn't it in an auto glass place?
