I think this is incorrect.  Worn pads don't require any more fluid (during
the pumping action) than new pads.  They *do* require more fluid in the
system, to account for the fact that the pistons don't retract into the
calipers and therefore the calipers require more fluid to fill.

As the pads wear, the pistons extend further from the calipers, and don't
return quite so much.  this means that the brakes should have the same feel,
and require the same volume of fluid to be pushed into the caliper, to
actuate them, whether the pads are new or worn.
