1994 164LS questions

Hello All!
Just brought home my new (to me) '94 164LS.
Unfortunately on the drive home the temp went up and the temp light came on.
Found that the radiator fan wasn't coming on.
It was the 40A bus fuse.
Fortunately... I have a supply.

A few newbie questions...
The car is idling a little rough now.
Do you think the overheat damaged anything or could this be related to that
same fuse?
The car did not boil over.

Also...
When I disconnected the battery the siren went off.
I do not have the remote or the alarm key for the car.
Is there any way to disable the siren and/or get a remote and a key?
I don't have the CarDisc or a manual yet (on order).

Everything else on the car is wonderful except the clock/temp display
(surprise).
The car looks virtually new!
Need to figure out how to get behind it to clean the connections.
The display segments pop back to life now and then at least.

Thanks!
