105 Rear axle/ differential swap

Folks,
Since the new rear axle bearings didn't fix the nyow-nyow noises from my
Spider's rear end, it appears I'm faced with swapping the old axle tubes/ new
bearings onto a known good differential I'm getting from Norm Riffle tonight.

I know there is shimming and checking to be done, but have never seen how to
do it.  Can anyone point the way?
