TS thread



I'm really enjoying the thread about the TS power issue. 

The best part is reading everyone's ideas on why do a TS head- and so far, everyone is right!

Bigger valves, better port design, less likely to knock, better MBT timing for efficiency (closer to TDC is better)...

I'm pretty sure that Alfa didn't do it for only one reason.  Based on some dyno data Ford took on the GTA Jr. exhaust system, I'm quite confident that the Alfa engineers looked at the entire system when they originally made the TS heads.  And when they did the later TS heads in the '80's, they basically improved what they already had done.
