Spider Cooling
Esteemed Digesti-I wrote recently of my Spider that seemed to be running
hotter than I cared for, but since then, I've checked the temps at the
radiator with a digital heat gun, and found that when the gauge is
reading 200 F, the rad is actually down below 175. So, my spikes to the
212 reading, according to the gauge, are probably actually only 195 or
so, but I guess I'll replace the sender, as not KNOWING really bugs me.
Engine never boils over, even in stop and go driving, and the engine bay
doesn't feel OR smell hot. Cam cover is around 180, so the oil is staying
pretty cool. Thanks to all who responded to my requests for a fan shroud.
What a group! SSU!! -P-
