OIL CHANGE

I want to change the oil in my 84 Spider, as i am tired of driving to the
local Alfa mechanic who charges a lot---my friend and I changed it today and
noted that the filter that was on the car was a Fram PH47, while I had been
to a local car parts store and their charts said buy a Fram PH16, which I
did. Any matter? The old filter was just slight longer, both fit well.

Also, it seems that the oil drain plug nut had been overly tightenerd,
perhaps with an air tool, and I wonder if this is incorrect---shouldn't it
just be hand tightened?

We did not have metric tools, but still got the drain plug nut off, it looks
like it should take either a 27mm or a 28 mm size wrench. Anyone know?

Any other tips on changing the oil and filter---the filter was hard to get
to, as the Spider sits so low to the ground. Thanks.
