The funniest failure just happened on my way to lunch. I opened the
driver's door & it fell off!! Well, almost anyway. The upper hinge pin
fell out & it was only supported by the lower hinge, you can imagine
what this must've looked like. Lucky I caught it in time from hitting
the car next to me. Wouldn't want to put a scratch in MY paint ;-) It
was intersting trying to close the door while sitting in the seat. Has
this ever happened to anyone here on their Alfa? Must have at some
point. It looks like the head from the pin rusted off & let the pin
drop through. I called Ferrari of Seattle & they have the pin & head in
stock for pocket change.
