GTV6 turn signals
Hi All,
The turn signals in my '83 gtv6 recently stopped working. One morning
the left one wouldn't come on and by that afternoon the right one had
followed suit.
I don't have a wiring diagram handy so I've been flying blind so far in
my attempts to fix it. I swapped out the flasher unit, checked the fuses,
checked the turn signal and hazard light switches and they all seem fine.
With a meter across the "P" and "+" (IIRC) terminals on the flasher socket I
get 12 volts with either the hazard or turn signal switch activated and 0 v
with them off.
Any suggestions on where to go from here? I have a CarDisk for the
vehicle, but I can't get the software to work. Does anyone know if an
appropriate wiring diagram is on there and if so, what the name of the
specific file is? Alternatively, can someone explain how the circuit should
work? ie, Current flows from battery to flasher, from flasher to switch,
from switch to bulbs, from bulbs to ground or something like that.
thanks in advance,
-Obie
